A Connection Between Yoga and Mood?
This is a very interesting article to read up on the researched connection between Yoga and your mood. I read this story and nodded my head — when I complete a Yoga workout with one of Tony Horton’s programs, I notice a huge change in how I feel. Feeling relaxed is an understatement!

I have done multiple rounds of P90X and Insanity and have seen some great results. Right now I am mixing and matching my workouts but I might have to consider Chalean Extreme! The below blog post provides a great summary of the differences of Chalean Extreme from P90X and Insanity.

Setting goals was an important step for me in reaching my fitness goals. My initial fitness goals a few years ago was to finish P90X thru 90 days. With P90X, they provided a roadmap for success so I knew exactly what I needed to do in order to meet by goals. Once I completed this goal, it fueled me to continue my fitness journey and set additional goals. With that said, below is a great posting that I definitely relate to:

I have mainly been using P90X, P90X+, Insanity, and P90X One on One for the past 2+ years to help me get fit and stay in shape. But as the foundation of P90X and Tony Horton’s message, you need to mix things up and confuse your muscles. With that in mind, find workouts that are different and challenge your body in different ways. Once you get done with your 90 day P90X transformation or your 60 day Insanity workout, try something different. Thru the various Beachbody programs, you have learned that you can get a great workout just with your body weight. Get outside and run sprints, rock climb, mountain biking, walking, do pull-ups/push-ups in the park. Mix things up!
I have taken this to heart and thru conversations with fellow Beachbody coach Michael French, I got into

There are many workout options once you complete your 90 day transformation with P90X. You can try P90X plus, Insanity, or try some other workouts. The workout I opted for was the Tony Horton one on one series. Tony has come out with a new One on One series and rebranded it as P90X One on One.
What is P90X One on One™?
This is Tony unscripted in his personal gym—no frills, no classroom, no cast. (But plenty of confusion.) No plateaus welcome. P90X One on One works just like a magazine subscription: After you sign up, you automatically receive a brand-new workout every month (sometimes they include FREE gifts). Best of all: you can cancel at any time.
How long are the workouts?
In good P90X tradition, the workouts will vary between 50 and 60 minutes.
What is the workout style and intensity?
In Volume 3, Tony experiments with different intensity levels. He mixes things

I absolutely love the one on one workouts with Tony Horton. They are a definite change of pace from the P90X series and the focus is really on using your body weight as the equipment for your workout. The focus on is core, balance, and strength training. A new workout can come to your door each month that you can add to your library of workouts to choose from. Mixing things up is the way to go….it keeps your workouts interesting and makes sure your body is always challenged.

I have received many inquiries about what to do once you complete your P90X workout. If you feel that you have gotten great results and you have your nutrition under control — there are a few options to choose from. You can:
1. Do another round of P90X
2. Purchase P90X+ and focus on these workouts and incorporate them into your P90X rotation. P90X+ focuses more on core and balance movements. The workouts are unbelievable – my favorite being total body plus
3. Tony Horton One on One workouts – these are great workouts to incorporate into your P90X and P90X+ routine. These workouts add something different and give you a workout to look forward to. The top workout in my opinion is the Plyo Legs routine but the new workout that came out in May 2010 looks awesome also – One on One….On One Leg, focusing on core

P90X invades Congress and Healthcare Debate
With the raging healthcare debate and the takeover by the Federal government – we all better be in the best shape of our lives and hope we stay healthy! I cannot imagine a government bureaucrat dictating to us what will be and won’t be covered! What a complete disaster! As far as I am concerned – our Federal government and ALL political parties have failed the American people and it is unbelievably frustrating.
But what do the politicians do to blow off steam from these frustrating health care debates these past few months? They might have gone to the congressional gym and worked out with Rep Paul Ryan doing P90X. Congressman Ryan has been front and center on the healthcare debate fighting for common sense fiscal responsibility and simple low-cost alternatives to
The Primal Blueprint
I purchased a book earlier this week, The Primal Blueprint, based on a recommendation from another Beachbody coach. I also found out that Tony Horton, creator of P90X has worked with the author – Mark Sisson. The Primal Blueprint runs thru a basic game plan to help people achieve health and wellness. It runs thru a set of simple instructions explaining how to control your genes and get the healthiest, strongest, leanest body possible by taking cues from the lifestyles, diet, and behavior of our early human ancestors. It is quite a fascinating book and turns conventional wisdom on its head. Mark also has a blog that discusses this overall Primal Blueprint called Marks Daily Apple and is a great resource for people that are interested in learning more about this
