A Connection Between Yoga and Mood?

By michael On August 23, 2010 No Comments

This is a very interesting article to read up on the researched connection between Yoga and your mood.  I read this story and nodded my head — when I complete a Yoga workout with one of Tony Horton’s programs, I notice a huge change in how I feel.  Feeling relaxed is an understatement!

Diversify your Fitness Workouts

By michael On August 10, 2010 No Comments

I have mainly been using P90X, P90X+, Insanity, and P90X One on One for the past 2+ years to help me get fit and stay in shape.  But as the foundation of P90X and Tony Horton’s message, you need to mix things up and confuse your muscles.  With that in mind, find workouts that are different and challenge your body in different ways.  Once you get done with your 90 day P90X transformation or your 60 day Insanity workout, try something different.  Thru the various Beachbody programs, you have learned that you can get a great workout just with your body weight.  Get outside and run sprints, rock climb, mountain biking, walking, do pull-ups/push-ups in the park.  Mix things up!

I have taken this to heart and thru conversations with fellow Beachbody coach Michael French, I got into

One on One Workouts with Tony Horton

By michael On June 18, 2010 No Comments

I absolutely love the one on one workouts with Tony Horton.  They are a definite change of pace from the P90X series and the focus is really on using your body weight as the equipment for your workout.  The focus on is core, balance, and strength training.  A new workout can come to your door each month that you can add to your library of workouts to choose from.  Mixing things up is the way to go….it keeps your workouts interesting and makes sure your body is always challenged.

P90X Graduate….What Next

By michael On May 24, 2010 No Comments

I have received many inquiries about what to do once you complete your P90X workout.  If you feel that you have gotten great results and you have your nutrition under control — there are a few options to choose from.  You can:

1.  Do another round of P90X

2.  Purchase P90X+ and focus on these workouts and incorporate them into your P90X rotation.  P90X+ focuses more on core and balance movements.  The workouts are unbelievable – my favorite being total body plus

3.  Tony Horton One on One workouts – these are great workouts to incorporate into your P90X and P90X+ routine.  These workouts add something different and give you a workout to look forward to.  The top workout in my opinion is the Plyo Legs routine but the new workout that came out in May 2010 looks awesome also – One on One….On One Leg, focusing on core
